Hello to everyone!
Now that spring has arrived, hopefully warmer temperatures will too!
Summer will be here before we know it, August 5th is just around the
corner!
I want to thank everyone who has contributed their time in finding our
classmates. However, there are still many among the missing so please
continue efforts to locate them.
A special "thank you" to John Betts who has kept our e-mail notification
going and to Hal Muskat for the Syosset Web Site. Looking at all those
pictures and reading what some our classmates have to say has been a
joyous ride through the past!
We have planned a wonderful weekend for the reunion. However we do need
to know if you plan on attending and to please send your checks to Mike Trop
as soon as possible. I would also like to know if you are planning on
attending the brunch at my home in Syosset on Sunday. I need the plan the
menu and know how many people will attend this extra reunion event. In fact,
I do hope that everyone will be able to share another day together.
Presently I have not hired a photographer for the reunion, but I've
contacted the individual who took the pictures at the 30th. There is no fee
involved to have the photographer at the event on Saturday night. However the
photo company requires a guarantee purchase of at least 50 pictures (i.e group
photos at a cost of $15.00 per photo). I would like to know whether I should
secure the photographer's services as soon as possible. Therefore, please
contact me as soon as possible if you are all interested having a group photograph.
We will be having a great DJ and if you have any special requests for
music, I will pass this along when I meet with him to finalize plans for evening.
Concerns about loud music have been addressed. In this regard, we are fortunate to be
having our reunion at the Metropolitan because it has two rooms: an area with the
DJ for dancing and a room with the buffet and the Bar (if you wish to just mingle and
"catch up").
If you have any suggestions or concerns please let me know. We want
everyone to have a great time! I look forward to seeing everyone of you. Who
knows when we'll be able to do this again.
